The Rideau Canal Skateway winds its way through the heart of downtown, over a total length of 7.8 kilometres. Along the way, you can enjoy our heated rest areas and fire pits. Or stop at one of the concession stands for a hot chocolate and a Beavertail.
Gatineau Park is a prime destination for outdoor activities. Gatineau Park, a natural oasis covering 361 km2 of hills and forest. Its rich biodiversity and proximity to downtown make it a real paradise for outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling, canoeing, and cross-country skiing.
Ski Heritage East is a multi-use winter recreational trail along the banks of the Ottawa River. This professionally groomed trail facilitates skate and classic skiing, snowshoeing, fat-tire cycling as well as walking. The trail stretches along eight kilometres from Green’s Creek to Trim Road.
Historical farm site, farm animals, children’s play area, corn maze, wagon rides, school groups welcome. Host Farmers Market on Saturdays. Fall family adventure with corn maze, scare crow walk, wagon rides, picnic and play areas.
